It’s been a while since we’ve introduced ourselves! It takes a village to run a wedding venue, and Lynsie has assembled one of the best teams around. Without further ado – Meet the BRIK team!
Lynsie Blau
Role: Owner, Founder, CEO
Zodiac sign: Aquarius
Favorite cocktail: Old Fashioned
Favorite wedding day moment: First Dance
Lynsie opened the doors at BRIK in Spring of 2016 and hasn’t slowed down since. Her second venue, The Ostreum, opened in 2019 where she serves as co-owner and CEO. The amazing team she has curated ensures that all clients and guests have a stellar experience. You will see her – most likely in a fabulous pair of glasses and amazing jewelry – at Walk Through Wednesdays!
Fun fact: Lynsie grew up on a ranch in Menard, Texas!
Christy Cleveland
Role: Director of Events
Zodiac sign: Aquarius

Christy was one of our first #BRIKbrides in 2016! After 20 years teaching high school English, she decided it was time for a change and came on part-time in 2017 and full-time in 2018. She oversees emails, contracts, invoices, booking tours, and everything in-between. Have a question – ask Christy! You will be in touch with Christy throughout the wedding planning process, and will see her at Walk Through Wednesdays!
Fun fact: Christy’s dream is to be a backup singer for a band!
Kristen Robinson
Role: Director of First Impressions
Zodiac sign: Leo

Favorite wedding day moment: First Dance
Kristen joined the team in October of 2018. She holds a Marketing degree from Texas A&M University (WHOOP). Her background spans from account management for a digital marketing agency to working on an organic farm. After planning her own wedding in 2017, she realized she might enjoy being in the wedding industry. She found this to be absolutely true! As our Director of First Impressions, Kristen handles all tours – she will be one of the first team members you meet!
Fun fact: Kristen loves karaoke!
McLaren Martin
Role: Director of Content
Zodiac sign: Sagittarius
Favorite cocktail: Spicy watermelon marg

McLaren joined the team in March of 2021. She holds a both her BA & MLA degrees from Texas Christian University (Go Frogs!), as well as a postgraduate Publishing degree from DU. McLaren oversees all of our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok) and sometimes assists with tours. You will most likely see her on your wedding day, capturing all of the action live (usually with tears in her eyes)!
Fun fact: McLaren is in two music videos for her favorite metal band, Parkway Drive!
Adela Chavez
Role: Venue Concierge
Zodiac sign: Gemini/Cancer cusp
Favorite drink: A good IPA
Favorite wedding day moment: Seeing a couple’s wedding day ideas come to life
Your BFF for all things venue related, Adela is your point of contact and access to the venue leading up to your big day! Need to bring a vendor by the venue? She has the calendar and the keys! She’s not a planner, but can help you find the perfect one – along with other vendors from our preferred vendor list. She’ll host your final meeting a month before your wedding, and you’ll see her bright and early on your wedding day so she can wish you all the best from all of us at BRIK!
Fun fact: Adela was interviewed for Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives many years ago, and sometimes strangers still recognize her from it!
